About Us

We Are About Caring for God’s Broken and Hurting People

Our Vision

Caring for God’s Broken and Hurting People

Specifically, we have a burden for those who are in the throes of the strongholds of sin (hurting and broken) as evidenced by dysfunctional fleshly behaviors and we seek restoration for their souls. These fleshly (sin) behaviors may manifest themselves in a couple of ways.

Behavioral health disorders stemming from trauma, abuse, dysfunctionality, and having lived in survival mode within a lie-based system. (anger, anxiety, PTSD, depression, isolation, etc.) Substance use disorders stem from a number of issues that lead to unhealthy self-soothing and sinful habits. (drugs, prescription and/or illicit, and alcohol)

How We Do This?

We do this through sharing God’s Word with others and guiding them through a process to find true healing and transformation, as is only found in the Word of God. At our core is our Care Ministry:

Balm of Gilead Ministries
Hurting Hearts Restored, and other Christian materials where Scripture speaks to the root of issues, whereas we “die” to our flesh – remove the lie-based system, and are born-again – entering into the Truth-based system. Transformation occurs through the power of the Holy Spirit alone.

Celebrate Recovery
A Scripturally sound and supported recovery program for those needing accountability and community in their healing of hurts, hang-ups, and habits.

Why We Do This?

Our faith compels us:
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.” -Psalm 34:18 (NKJV)

For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’” - Matthew 25:35-40

We Are About

We are about the one. “Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

What Reflects the Heart of Jesus?

Food for the hungry, (Spiritual sustainment = discipleship)
Drink for the thirsty, (God’s living water His Word)
Friend to the stranger, (community)
Clothing for the naked, (comfort, safety)
Visitor to the sick and imprisoned

It is the Compassion of Jesus that compels us.
Compassion [ kuhm-pash-uhn ] noun:
A feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

What are some words that often get used in discussing compassion?
Care, love, people, kind, empathy.

God Cares About His People…

It is the heart of Jesus, compassionate, that has a strong desire to alleviate the suffering of humanity. Compassion moves one into action, it creates a sense of urgency, and compels service to God, and to others.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.“-  1 Corinthians 13:3

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” -  1 Corinthians 13:13
